A form three student from Kisii High School had been released on Sh 50,000 cash bail after he
pleaded not guilty to murder charges.
The student faces two counts of attempted murder. The Director of Public Prosecution had
approved the charges.
The 17-year-old was arrested on Tuesday after he stabbed two of his teachers.
The suspect spent Tuesday night at Kisii Central Police station before appearing before Kisii
Court Senior Resident Magistrate Stephen Onjoro Wednesday morning.
The advocate of the accused Ben Gichana requested the court to release his client on reasonable
bond terms. The DPP didn't object to the request.
The accused will have an alternative of Sh 100,000 bond.
The accused will appear in court on January 27 for mention and pre-trial.
