A Nandi man was on Monday, buried alive while digging a pit latrine at Jean Marie Secondary school.
The 30 year old who was identified as Josephat was among the three people contracted to dig the pit at the school.
Josephat was trapped after the walls of the pit which is 30 feet deep collapsed while he was inside at around 2:00 pm.
Nicholas Odungo, who was part of the team digging the pit said, that he had gone for lunch with his other colleague when the incident happened.
The father of three is still trapped in the rubble and rescue efforts are ongoing. Residents have urged the county and National government to help in the rescue efforts.
