Man Shot Dead after Attempted Bank Robbery

A suspected robber was shot and killed on Tuesday as he attempted to rob an Equity Bank branch in Nairobi’s Nairobi West area.

The robber stabbed a guard and two customers with a kitchen knife and attempted to grab cash that was being delivered by G4S personnel at the bank on Ghandi avenue.

The man was gunned down by one of the police officers who had escorted G4S personnel to the bank.

The bank was temporarily closed and the access road shut down to allow investigations.

The body of the deceased was taken to City Mortuary.
