Nyaribo asked to concentrate on work and ignore critiques

Nyamira County Governor Amos Nyaribo has been urged to concentrate on working for the
people of Nyamira and avoid his critics.
Various leaders have come up to defend the county boss over several claims of imbalance in his
administration by his critics.
North Mugirango Constituency hopeful Ken Mosongo on Saturday said it is time for the leaders
in the county to support Nyaribo for the few days remaining so that something can be done for
the residents who are looking upon him for service delivery.
Mosongo spoke in Nyamira town where he said there is no time for the leaders to start laying
politics over Nyaribo’s leadership and called for political calm among the leaders and asked
them to help Nyaribo in his duties.
“We have heard a number of our leaders strongly coming up to criticize the leadership of
governor Nyaribo but I am calling upon our elected leaders to respect the governor and help him
deliver services in the remaining few days. We all have various political interests but we need to
have decorum when it comes to leaders who have been mandated to serve us,” Mosongo said.
One of the biggest of the blows that have been viewed as disorientation to the Governor was the
County Assembly’s move to reject his deputy governor nominee James Gesami which means
that he goes again to the drawing board to do another appointment.
Nyaribo’s defeat at the Assembly has revealed the high profile battle he has entered into with
some politicians from the County who have ganged up to fight him using members of the
Assembly.
In a public function last week, Nyaribo said he was not perturbed by the ongoings and instead
asserted that he will work irrespective of the attacks he will have to be subjected to.
“Anyone who is fighting me is fighting the people of Nyamira and it is out for them to judge
who is against them being served,” Nyaribo said.
