Nyamira County Deputy Governor nominee Dr James Gesami has said the expectations of their
government with Governor Nyaribo is to have everyone included in governance.
In a phone conversation after he was named on Wednesday, Dr Gesami said it is time to have
everyone on board in taking Nyamira County to the next level.
“As much as we have the new government in place, we shall try and ensure transparency,
accountability and high level of inclusivity for all so that we move this journey as one people,”
said Gesami.
Gesami urged the people to support the duo in ensuring residents of Nyamira get the required
service.
“We will not leave anyone behind. This is a journey that requires all of us to be on board to
enable the residents of Nyamira to benefit from our leadership. That will only be achieved if we
remain united and focused to drive the agendas of our county,” he noted.
While addressing journalists in his office on Wednesday, Governor Nyaribo said he will closely
monitor the performance of the ministers to ensure service delivery to the residents of Nyamira
County.
“The time we have is to work for our people and I am looking upon the foresaid individuals to
work hard and ensure the residents of our county benefit from the services offered by my
government. All that we are concerned about is service delivery and these individuals are the
focal point,” Nyaribo said.
The names will be forwarded to the county assembly for approval alongside that of the Deputy
Governor nominee Dr James Gesami.
The appointments that have been done by the county will see vigorous activities in the county
government by the fact that the governor has less than two years in office to complete the
projects started by county former boss’ John Nyagarama who died late last year.
