Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar has singled out Fred for criticism, after his goal that made them end up at 1-1 draw against Southampton.
Fred had an impressive game against Leeds in the season opener match.
He scored the final goal in the convincing 5-1 win at Old Trafford.
However, he struggled to be consistent at St. Mary’s after being dispossessed on 16 occasions and also being dribbled past thrice.
Fred conceded a goal after his left foot led to a huge deflection that beat De Gea.
Ole Gunnar has often protected his players from criticism, but he was far from impressed with Fred’s unconvincing attempt to block Adam’s shot.
